Appointment Policy at the Best Hair Salon for Highlights

APPOINTMENT POLICY

Hey babes! We’re all about good vibes, great hair, and making sure you have the best experience every time you visit us. To keep everything running smoothly—for you, your stylist, and the next guest in the chair—we have a few policies in place. These help us protect our time, our team, and the love we pour into every appointment. By booking with us, you’re agreeing to what’s below. Let’s keep things respectful, easy, and beautiful.

Appointment Reminders & Confirmations

We’ll send you a confirmation message by text or email 72 hours before your appointment, just to make sure you’re good to go. Around the busier times of year (like the holidays), we may even send a one-week reminder too—because we know life can get hectic. If you ever need to reschedule or adjust your appointment, just give us a quick call or email at least 48 hours in advance. Once we hear from you, we’ll confirm the change so you’re never left wondering.

Cancellations & No shows

We totally understand that things come up. But when appointments are cancelled last-minute or skipped entirely, it leaves gaps that are hard for us to fill—and impacts your stylist’s day and earnings. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you do so at least 48 hours in advance. If it’s less than 48 hours, there’s a 50% charge for the missed service. Cancel late a second time and the full cost of your scheduled service will be charged. If you no-show your appointment entirely, we’ll require full payment for that missed service before we can book you again—and any future appointments will need to be prepaid in full. It’s all about respecting each other’s time.

Deposits & Payment info

For appointments valued over $100, we ask for either a 50% deposit or a credit card to be kept securely on file. If you pay a deposit, it will go toward your final total. And don’t worry—your payment info is always encrypted and handled through Stripe, so your security is never compromised.

Change of mind policy

We get it—sometimes you change your mind. But if that happens within 48 hours of your appointment, after the cancellation window has passed, we do still need to charge you for the original service you booked. For example, if you’re scheduled for a full colour and cut but decide day-of to just get a trim, the full service fee will still apply. That’s because we’ve set aside that time especially for you, and we can't fill it last-minute.

Running Late

We totally understand that things can run behind—we’re human too. We offer a 10 to 15 minute grace period, but if you arrive later than that, we may have to either reschedule or modify the service to fit the remaining time. In either case, the full original service price still applies. Being on time helps us give you the complete, beautiful service you deserve.

Revisions /Adjustments

We want you to leave feeling absolutely obsessed with your hair. If something doesn’t feel quite right, we’re here for it—just let us know within 72 hours of your appointment. We’ll schedule a tweak or adjustment within 14 days of your original visit. Some colour adjustments may come with a small fee to cover product, depending on what was discussed in your consultation. Either way, we’ll always have an open and honest conversation before making any changes.

Illness

If you’re not feeling well, please don’t come in—your health and ours matter. Let us know before your appointment and we’ll give you a 24-hour grace period to reschedule without any fees. If illness-related cancellations happen repeatedly, we may ask for a non-refundable deposit to hold your future appointments. We love you, but not your germs.

New Clients & Consultations

If you're new to us and interested in any Blonding, Balayage, Colour Corrections, Vivid Transformations and Smoothing Treatments we require an in-person consultation before your first appointment. These consults are totally free and give us a chance to assess your hair, understand your goals, and map out a game plan. We never do same-day consultations and advanced services—because we believe in thoughtful, not rushed, hair care.

Cardless Checkout

We offer a cardless checkout option if you'd rather skip pulling out your card after your blowout. If you go this route, there’s a small 1% convenience fee. If you'd like to avoid the fee, you can always pay with your physical card at checkout or use your deposit.
